Look who's Laughing now

On Saturday (6/23) after what seems like months of waiting McKenna finally laughed! It was glorious, seriously the most amazing sound ever. The first laugh is by far my favorite milestone.

We were sitting on the couch and I was tickling kenna when she first giggled it was so quiet I wasn't sure it was real but after a few moments she let out her very first deep belly laugh! She laughed again for her Nana on Sunday and today she has laughed several times. It still takes a while to work her up to a full blown laugh but it makes it that much better when she does.

All smiles (and some toe chewing)

And Last but not least the McKenna laughing at 4 mo

Our Busy Weekend

On Friday Kevin and I took Brooklyn to groovy cuts to get her first big girl hair cut. Her hair was getting so long and I had been thinking of getting her bangs, she hates wearing her hair up and it's always in her face.

From the moment we walked in Brooke wanted to sit in the police car but eventually we convinced her to sit in the more girlie Barbie jeep. She did great while they cut her hair and when it was all done Brooke loved it!

We finished the night by going to Logan's to celebrate fathers day for Kevin. I took the chance to snap a picture of the girls with daddy. Seriously how cute are they!

On Saturday we had a family reunion with some of my family, because I live so far from everyone it is always so much fun to get together.

We had a busy fathers day! After church we came home and changed in to our rangers gear (Kevin and I always think its funny when families all dress the same, so when we do its alway a big joke) and headed out for Sunday lunch. After lunch we played some family baseball at the park, watched some of the game, and then went over to Kevin's moms house for fathers day dinner.
To say I was wore out by the end of the day would be an understatement!

My attempts to get a family picture...

More Brooke-isms

Brooke-isms

While in the car Brooke goes; "I got a monster in my nose and he eats my boogers"

Today while McKenna was being fussy
Brooke ; "Mommy turn her off"
Me; I can't she is very upset
Brooke; "Then take her batteries out!"

Brooke to Kevin; " you ate all your food your big"
Kevin; are you calling me fat?
Brooke; your big, I say you're fat. (ouch!)

After bath time one night brook started crying, when we asked what was wrong, she puts up her fingers and whines "my fingers are ruined" (they were pruned from the bath)

We told Brooke that her aunt Jennifer was going to have a baby, the first thing she says is; "Its a girl her name is Presley." (she has a friend named presley) The next thing she said was "Jennifer needs take a bath and poop it out"
(I guess she was paying attention when McKenna was born.)

Brooke comes running in to the room with a ball under her shirt, saying "mommy I have a baby in my tummy, its a girl"
Since finding out about Jennifer she is obsessed with babies.

Cereal and Bath Time

Last Sunday we started McKenna on cereal. She didn't like it at all, in fact after a few bites she started crying until we picked her up. I have been trying to get her to eat a few bites every night before bath time and she has been getting better.

Speaking of bath time,McKenna HATES Hated taking a bath! She would fuss and cry the entire bath. While at the store to pick up cereal I also got the Summer Infant Deluxe Baby Bather - Pink and we love it! Now she smiles, kicks and talks to us the entire time in the bath. McKenna loves bath time now :)

I love bath time now! She is so happy and funny.

Videos

Brooklyn and McKenna jumping at 4 months.

Brooklyn was supposed to be napping in her room however it was far to quiet in there for that. I found her in McKennas bedroom.
Her excuse:Baby  Kenna needed a night night story!

This is how nap time goes every day. I usually lay her down and she puts herself to sleep with in 5 minuets

Four Months

At her four month appointment McKenna was 25 1/2 inches long (75 %) and weighed 13lbs (50%). She wears size 1 diapers and is wearing some 0-3 month cloths and a few 3-6 months.

On 5/5 McKenna refused to eat, after several hours of that and her not having any wet diapers I took her to the doctor. At that appointment we found out she had an infection in her left ear making it hard for her to suck. After a round of antibiotic and some baby Tylenol she was eating much better. We also started treating her for cradle cap (5/15) so far she loves having her hair brushed and washed more often.

This month McKenna has found her feet, she is always holding and sucking on them. On 5/21 McKenna rolled from back to stomach, while taking a nap. She has mastered rolling over both ways. McKenna is able to put herself to sleep without fussing at all. When we lay her down, she rolls to her side and will fall asleep sucking her thumb with in 5-10 minuets. McKenna naps four times a day four about a hour or two each time, at night she sleeps from 8pm to around 7:30 in the morning.

Baby girl has also started playing more she is always kicking and moving around. She will hold and play with toys she even grabs for them herself. Her favorite toys right now are the oball and Spider.

McKenna is just amazed by Brooklyn, she watches her and tries to talk to her whenever Brooke is around. Kenna has also started pulling up to a sit position using our fingers. she also puts weight on her legs and stand when we are holding her hands.
