39 weeks

Sunday came and passed meaning that I was now in my 39th week of pregnancy!! I can't believe it, I have never been this far along before. In some ways I'm so ready for this to be over, but in other ways I am still enjoying having my baby girl still so close to me, and all to myself. We all know that once she is born I will be fighting every one to hold her, so many people are waiting for her to get here. :)

As far as everything else, At my appointment today nothing had changed. Which leads me to believe little girl is going to hang out for a while!

**update** McKenna was born the next afternoon!

Toddler crafts

As we wait for baby #2 to arrive, Brooke and I have been learning lots of  new things and finding new games/crafts that really get Brooklyn thinking AND having fun!!

One craft we do almost weekly because Brooklyn loves it so much, is making "CANDY" jewelery. Its super simple and Brooke is getting so much better at stringing the Froot Loops and I love watching her enjoy herself so much.

The pictures are pretty self explanatory.

1: Take string, measure and cut for child.
2: I take one Froot Loop and tie it on the end of the string.
so the others wont fall off as child strings.
3: Let child string Froot Loops
4: Tie jewelery and let child enjoy

38 weeks/ Zoo Trip

Today we went to the Dallas zoo. It was a last chance for us to take Brooke out before Kenna comes, and a chance for me to do some walking.
The week I turned 38 weeks with Brooklyn we went to the zoo in attempts of convincing her to come, five days later she was born. Actually my last picture pregnant with her was at the Dallas Zoo  38 weeks pregnant! I thought it would be cute to compare the two pregnancies.

 (Brooklyn 2009)                                    (McKenna 2012)
This time around I gained a lot less weight and the way each girl is actually resting in my belly is completely different! Brooklyn sat Horizontally and more towards my back. McKenna likes to lay straight out and more vertical.

Like always Brooklyn loved the zoo and this time we even road the "train." we only got to see half the zoo because of a late start but the weather was PERFECT.

Posing for a picture! She can be such a little DIVA. ha ha.

36 weeks

36 Weeks

* Its getting harder and harder to bend over, and when I do I can feel her get all scrunched up in my belly

* Any time I stand up I feel tons of pressure from her moving down.

* Craving; EGGS, chili, potatoes, chocolate milk, and trail mix!!

* I also started getting eczema patches on my arms and ears... So itchy!

* My belly is measuring at 47inches

* I have swollen hands and feet when I wake up in the morning

*At my 34 week appointment we found out that McKenna was in the posterior position and we have been seeing a chiropractor to help turn her. At my appointment today she was locked in the correct position meaning she should not move! :)

*At my appointment today, I was 4cm dilated and baby was at 0 station and 50% effaced!!! Its great to know something is going on. (even though I know I could be like this for weeks)
