Christmas 2011

Unfortunately the Zerchers got sick the Thursday before Christmas and stayed sick through Christmas. We attended what Christmas party's that we could and slept the rest of our Kevin's Christmas break away. while I had many plans of things to do, to make memories, it was really nice spending days in bed watching movies with the people I love most!

Christmas Eve with my mom

Brooke and Katie

MY BROTHER!!! I hadn't seen him in over a year having
him home and alive was the best gift!

Christmas morning at our house.
I took a lot of convincing to get Brooke to open her gifts let alone get excited about them.

Christmas day with Kevin's Family.
By early afternoon Brooke had some time to; wake up, take some medicine, and eat. so she was in a much better mood the rest of the day. Also she had some distraction playing with Eli.

Brooke helping pass out gifts (obviously feeling better)
she even helped open other peoples gifts.

Kansas

On the 30th of  November we left for our trip to Kansas, Its always easier to drive while Brooke is sleeping (less bathroom stops that way) so we didn't make it until 6am on the 1st.

Brooke was all smiles even after a 8+ hour drive

Helping with her own luggage (after mom and dads "nap")

We slept for a few hours, then went driving around looking at the towns and houses Kevin's mom lived. We even stopped at the Antioch park where we stretched our legs, played, and feed the ducks.

The cute mini town they had set up behind the park.

She had spotted the ducks!!

Feeding/ watching the ducks.

The rest of the time we visited with friend, drove to see lights and lounged around our hotel. Mostly Kevin and I got some MUCH needed rest!

Kevin and Greg's grandaughter Ava (watching her and Brooke play made me feel so lucky that I'm having a little girl and Brooke will have a sister to play with!!!)

Watching a Christmas lights display.

Looking more and more like Christmas

With Brooke getting older and baby McKenna on the way its more important to me than ever to create memories! Something I loved growing up is Christmas decorations, and my nanny would go crazy decorating her house, something about all the decorations makes it feel so much more cozy.

My fireplace
I LOVE it!!

Our tree after I redecorated twice..yes... twice and its still not perfect
(I must have more of my grandma in me than I thought ha!)

Brooke has also been busy helping me decorate and playing around.
Playing in shaving cream.

Studying at TWU with Aunt Katie.

Playing at Nana's.

Helping me practice making cookies for Santa.
Cracking the eggs is always her favorite part :)

Helping mom make apple chips!

Christmas Tree

Unfortunately we were out of town so we were not able to get our tree up Thanksgiving night. (one of our traditions) but we do have some time before we leave for Kansas, so after a five hour drive home, up our tree went.
Setting up the tree

This will be thr first christmas with out my grandma so Brooke and I made a special ornament for her, so that she can be with us.

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Wimberley TX with family. We don't make it out there with everyone very often so it was really special. Although the five hour drive with; 1 teen, 5 Adults (one 29 weeks pregnant ha!), 1 toddler and 2 Dogs, plus luggage made for a very interesting/ hilarious drive.

Up early and ready to go!

The rest of our time in wimberley consisted of; hanging out in pj's watching movies, shopping, and eating great food!!

Now that we are home we have just enough time to celebrate a late thanksgiving dinner with Kevin's family and pack for our Kansas vacation!

27 weeks

27 Weeks
(no make up and in my house/ everyday cloths)

My belly button has popped!

According to some books I am now in the 3rd trimester!! woah where did it go?

  • acid reflux! I can no longer drink or eat 30minuets before I lay down for bed or else I'm up for an hour in pain....I really feel for the babies that have to go through this!!
  • Exercise is getting harder; my routine has been cut to;
    •  One walk instead of two a day
    •  I can do my third trimester workout video but I only do it on; Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays
    •  I also do a 30 minuet yoga prenatal stretch every day. I'm hoping ill be able to keep this up until she is born.
  • I'm craving super spicy foods, apples, juice, and candy just in time for Halloween.
  • I feel her move all the time, she moves more often than not!!!
  • My belly button has popped out.( never made it that far with Brooke) my belly button skin burns but I'm guessing that is  because its stretching.

Halloween 2011

As crazy as it sounds this is Brooklyn's 3rd  Halloween, WOW!

Trick-or-Treating on Sunday night at Memes house.
 Our cute little Bumblebee.

On Monday Brooke wore her " back up costume" AKA The one she liked the most no matter how much mom played up the Bumblebee. She was the best looking Dorthy EVER! We went over to trick-or-treat with Kathy, Jennifer, Josh and Eli.

Brooke and Eli with Nana.

Eli and Kevin after a long night of trick-or-treating

Brooke was so great this year! She was even able to go up to the "scary" house that frightened her last year. At some houses she would even say trick-or-treat and thank you.

Taking only one piece of candy!

since this is the first year Brooke was actually able to actively trick-or-treat, she didn't have the dos and don'ts down yet example:
  • At one house after knocking Brooke just tried to open the door and walk in
  • At another house (with a door with a glass window) she stuck her face up to the glass and watched them walk to the door...Then asked for MORE candy after they had already given her some! HA
