20 Weeks and Kicks

Yesterday we found out we were having a baby girl! Kevin and I already have her name picked out Brooklyn faith.

A few days ago while I was laying on my stomach
(while it is uncomfortable to lay on my stomach but when I wake up I still find myself on my belly, old habits die hard I guess.)
Anyway as I was waking up before I had rolled over. I felt some strange bubbling, after a few moments I felt it again. I kept laying there and sure enough I felt it once more. (it wasn't until after each time, I would realize I was holding my breath, afraid to move, I didn't want to stop feeling these new little bubbles.)
The kicks are still very light and I still don't notice them or feel them every day.

Its a Girl!

Brooklyn Faith!

We went for our 20 week scan today. Kevin couldn't make it but my mom and his mom were able to go with me.
At my last appointment they had given me a list of  instructions to prepare for the sonogram (to help with seeing the gender and size of the baby) One of the directions was to drink lots of I did! I hadn't factored in having to wait of that I have to pee all the time, I was afraid if I did go we wouldn't see anything so I sat there praying time would go faster.
When it was time for the sonogram, we couldn't see anything because my bladder was too FULL! The tech let me use the restroom and we began.

Baby looked great. (I think she could have just started with the gender then move on to the size and everything, I was so ready to know!!!) Then,

I was so in shock I didn't know what to do or say! The entire time; I had thought it would be a girl, I've even had dreams about a baby girl. I really really wanted a girl.
I convinced myself that because I thought so strongly it was a girl and that because I wanted one so badly that it meant that IT HAD to be a boy. (Does anyone get that lucky)

Kevin took me to Dallas, for dinner. While it was not my first time to Dallas it was my first time to actually get out and walk around. He made sure to bring his camera and take pictures of this "tourist" all while teasing me for living in Texas my entire life and not spending time in Dallas.

Our very first picture together!

Our oh so embarrassing couples tourist pictures :)

Then since we had the camera we took some pictures for fun, I love that Kevin is not to embarrassed to have fun! He has a way of making me laugh.

18 Weeks

18 weeks
The belly is finally starting to look more like a pregnant belly!

My internal clock has been thrown way out of whack! I sleep most of the day and I'm up all night ( I actually just start to fall asleep just as Kevin is getting ready for work)
I am always up by the time he gets home (even if he has to work late) which is nice but I'm starting to miss the sun.

I don't like many foods but what I do like I LOVE.
I almost always want to eat subway. The guy at our subway knows Kevin and I by name now and can make our normal sandwiches without us saying anything.
Something for the people who work night shift at CiCis.
(Good thing our apartment is walking distance from these two!)
